P & Z will review nuclear plant proposal tonight

Following nearly three months of delays, the Elmore County Planning and Zoning Commission will review a zoning application during a public meeting at 7 p.m. tonight regarding construction of a nuclear power plant.

The review involves an application submitted by Alternate Energy Holdings, Inc. to amend the county's comprehensive plan to turn 1,280 acres of agricultural land southwest of Hammett into a heavy industrial zone.
