Lady runners finish 5th at state tournament
The Mountain Home Tigers girls cross country team finished fifth at the State 4A Cross Country Meet at Circling Raven Golf Course at Worley, Idaho, Saturday.
Bishop Kelly ran away with the 4A girls race, finishing with 36 points. Hillcrest was second with 88, Twin Falls was third with 100, Jerome was fourth with 137 and Mountain Home came in fifth with 146 points. Moscow was next with 148, Preston had 150, Skyview had 222, Kuna 229, Bonneville was 10th with 265, followed by Pocatello at 281, Wood River with 299 and Sandpoint at 306.
Jordan Vivier led the Mountain Home girls, finishing 19th in a time of 20:48.57. Sarah Richins came in 26th (21:09.89), Shelby McHugh was 31st (21:25.58), Kacee Cameron 32nd (21:27.58), Haley Schaefer 44th (22:01.16), Ashley Mayberry 45th (22:02.22) and McKenzie Dorr, 59th (22:31.10).
Three Mountain Home Tiger boys ran in the boys race, which was won by Twin Falls. Dylan Johnson came in 47th with a time of 18:14.20, Jovanne Carrizales was 50th (18:15.44) and Joe Gutierrez was 80th, running a time of 18:50.00.
