Donor thanked for rings
Dear editor:
As proud parents of the Mountain Home girls softball team, we would like to thank the anonymous person in our community that gave the girls their state championship rings.
This is a great bunch of girls. Last season they worked as a team to move ahead in our district and took top honors to go to state. As the road to state was a little bumpy, the team worked together to overcome and move on to the championship round. Coach Cris Asbury, by example, has always made the girls respect the game. They showed team support and respect for the other teams and coaches.
That weekend at state was one we, as parents, will never forget. Each girl dug deep into their heart and soul to win the first ever state championship title for their school. We, as parents, are so very proud of the whole team. As history was made for Mountain Home High School, this act of kindness by giving the rings should not go unrecognized.
Thank you for this generous gesture.
Mike and Donna Huntington
