Mountain Home Youth Defends his Archery Title
Fourteen year old Mike Parkinson of Mountain Home Idaho has won the Idaho State Bowhunter 3D Archery Championship held July 18th 2009 in Stanley Idaho for the second year in a row. Mike has been competing in archery competitions spanning across Idaho and Oregon since the age of 10. He has 18 first place wins, including a win in the adult mens open division, 7 second place and two 3rd place finishes to his credit.
Additionally, Michael won the 3rd Leg of the IBO Triple Crown (International Bowhunter Organization) in LaGrande Oregon in May 2009, which qualifies him for the IBO Worlds in Ellicotville New York, which he will be traveling to August 13-15, 2009.
To his credit Michael is not only a gifted Archer, but also a dedicated student. This past school year he was president of the National Jr. Honor Society at Mountain Home Jr High, maintaining a 3.9 GPA.
