County fair was a huge disappointment

Dear editor:

I attended the Elmore county Fair last week, and I was in total shock. Where were the vendors? A correction should have been made that only food vendors needed $1 million in insurance and not vendors who sell trinkets or novelty items.

After watching this fair grow for the last nine years to being a large event -- to nothing -- was like standing on the deck watching the Titanic sink.

The exhibition hall did not have as much as it used to, no band, no acts to perform, only a DJ.

This fair used to have it going on. Fair board members please take note and bring back someone with experience who can put this fair back on top again and not let it fail.

This is a plea. Having talked with many people this week everyone feels the way I do.
