A Mountain Home AFB man and his family were involved in a fatal car crash Monday afternoon near New Meadows that killed an Adams County deputy sheriff.

Matthews succumbed to his injuries at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time.
Zampogna and the other passengers in his vehicle, Jennifer Zampogna, 35, Nicole Zampogna, 9, and Dominic Zampogna, 7, were all transported by air and ground ambulance to area hospitals to be treated for their injuries. He was listed in critical condition Tuesday morning. The conditions of his family members were not available.
