Fourth of July festival events announced
THe El-Wyhee Business Association is getting ready for its annual Fourth of July Festival in the Park.
The event, which has been slowly growing over the years, will be held in Carl Miller Park on Saturday July 4.
Exact times of activities have not yet been announced, but the association plans on having the Mountain Home Fire Department display its large American Flag, the Air Force will have a display to "show how the city of Mountain Home has opened its arms to our military in the past, the present and hopefully the future," a spokesperson said.
The Army Guard also will have a tent with representatives from the Guard on hand to answer questions.
The MHHS cheer squad will have a dunk tank set up, there will be 4-wheeler demonstrations, and the Little Miss El-Wyhee Pageant for young girls ages 3-9 will be held. Contact Willie Heckathorne at United Metals at 587-7511 for more information about the pageant.
