Paint the Town works to fix homes

Due to possible rain, work on several of the houses chosen for the annual Paint the Town project was postponed until this coming weekend, while other houses were painted Saturday morning by squadrons from Mountain Home Air Force Base.
This year's Paint The Town consisted of seven projects throughout Mountain Home, with eight teams/squadrons painting an assigned house.
At each house, the teams will not only paint, but perform several household tasks including landscaping, lawn mowing and any other general repairs.
In a recent interview, MSgt Michael Lange, of the 366th OSS, commented on how Paint The Town benefits the community.
"It helps to restore the value of the resident's property, beautifies the neighborhoods, and increase the morale of the residents and the neighborhoods as a whole."
On Saturday, projects located at Park Central and Mountain View Drive were being painted.
"These guys have worked really hard and have done a fantastic job," said Gaylene Gries, while her home was being painted by members of the 366th CMS.
"It means a lot to get out and help the community. We really enjoy being a part of these projects," said TSgt Steve Laird, of the 366th CMS.
