Tigers defeat Nampa, lose to Middleton
The Mountain Home Tigers managed a split in sophomore boys basketball last week, losing at home and winning on the road.

The Middleton sophomores pulled away in the second half to down the Mountain Home Tiger sophomores 57-43 in boys basketball Friday night in Lloyd Schiller Gymnasium.
The Tigers led 13-10 after a quarter and built it to 17-10 before a 9-0 run by Middleton gave them the lead, but Mountain Home regained the lead and led 24-22 at the half.
Mountain Home hit a couple baskets in the early going of the third quarter to up their lead to six, but a 15-6 run by the Vikings the rest of the quarter put them up 37-34. Middleton outscored the Tigers 20-9 in the fourth to win 57-43.
Tyler Wright led Mountain Home in scoring with 12 points, Anthony Barbosa added seven, Colton Zamora and Justin Connolly both scored six, Mert Baysal and J.T. Cristobal each added five and Brent Sexauer put in two points.

Tyler Wright scored 14 of his season-high 21 points in the first half as Mountain Home jumped out to a big first-half lead on its way to a 44-35 conference win over Nampa Saturday night in Nampa.
Wright scored 10 of his points in the second quarter when the Tigers went out to a 23-9 halftime advantage. The Tigers led 27-20 after three and hung on in the fourth for the 44-35 win.
Tyler Wright led Mountain Home with 21 points, Brent Sexauer netted eight, Mert Baysal added five, Anthony Barbosa three, Ricky Castillo, J.T. Cristobal and Justin Connolly each scored two and Colton Zamora had one point.
