MHHS Encore Co. to present 'The Nutcracker'

Members of the cast of "The Nutcracker" rehearse for their performances this week.

MHHS Encore Co. is producing "The Nutcracker" Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. on the high school gym stage.

There is also a matinee performance Dec. 20 at 1 p.m.

All seats are $2 at the door.

The Christmas classic recounts the legend of the Nutcracker brought to life and a prince under the wicked enchantment of the Mouse King. Clara joins him in a series of adventures in strange lands as he seeks to regain his throne.

The production also is touring to local elementary schools in celebration of the holiday season.
