Lady Tiger sophomores edge Wood River 19-18
The Mountain Home Lady Tigers sophomore basketball team snapped a two-game losing skid with a 19-18 win over Wood River last Saturday afternoon in Lloyd Schiller Gymnasium.
Mountain Home trailed 4-2 after a quarter and 8-6 at the half. It was 16-16 after three quarters. Mountain Home managed to outscore the Lady Wolverines 3-2 in the fourth to claim the 19-18 win.
Jasmyne Moore led the Mountain Home scoring with seven points, Kelsey Egusquiza added six, and Carolyn Bailey, Jaclyn Lasuen and Kelly Robins each scored two.
The win evened the Lady Tigers sophomores to 2-2 on the season. They return to action next week, opening conference play against Bishop Kelly at home on Tuesday, travel to Middleton in conference play on Thursday, and travel to Jerome on Saturday.
