City approves $1 sanitation fee hike

The city of Mountain Home is preparing to increase the sanitation rates in the city by one dollar, from $12.50 to $13.50.

The action was taken during Monday's meeting of the city council.

  • Just keep raising prices on utilities. Instead of just stopping new growth maybe you can get the people that are here to move away.

  • Duh!! I'm sure that is exactly what they want. None of the City Council need to build a house so now the fees will be up to about $15,000 more to evey house built. I wonder what Mr. Urquidi would pay for a building permit for his new house now? I mean "if it passes". It will pass because the City Council will go thru the legal motions and then pass it.
