Firemen really are the best

I love reading your editorials and notebook each week. You do a great job. I certainly agree with you about our great fire department.

I know first hand how great they are.

I had a fire in my garage, which is attached to the house. They came right away and got the fire out before it burned the house. I had smoke damage in the house but they saved it.

They are real professionals. I am so grateful for them. I told Mr.Gridley, Jr., how happy I was with their service when I saw him at a community event soon after the fire.

I really liked your Notebook article today. It was long but it was correct and very, very good. We as a community are very lucky to have a newspaper editor as knowlegable as you. I have lived in a large city in California and you are better than theirs.

Thank you for a job well done. I feel very fortunate to live here in Mountain Home.
