Adams one pitch away from perfect game

In the 12U Division, Sting Black played East Boise early in the week and came away with a win.

Heather Adams was one pitch away from a perfect game.

She struck every patter except for one that she hit on a pitch that got away from her.

The team combined for 13 hits and 13 RBIs.

On Saturday Sting Yellow face Horseshoe Bend in a double header. In game one it was Ashley Sessions and Tessa Pachner each hitting home runs to lead the team at the plate. Haley Wierschem had a double helping the team to 16 hits and 19 RBIs.

In game two Angela Shockey led the hitting with two RBIs and she also scored a run. Caitly Sheehy had six outs at first with assists from Adams, Pomerantz and Castillo. The team combined for 12 hits and 19 RBIs.

Sting Black faced East Boise at home on Saturday and battled through a very close game. Maddy Karst pitched a strong game before being relieved by Mackenzie Carle. Some last inning hitting score run to put sting up and win the game.

The 10U girls struggled last week losing both of their games to East Boise and Horseshoe Bend. In both games the girls were unable to connect with the ball and were only able to score 6 runs between the 2 games.

At the 14U divisions the girls went 3-3 for the week. Their first win was against Melba as strong defense shut Melba down. They then followed that up with a double header on Saturday.

The challenge was the second game when they faced an older 16U team. In the first game against the 14U team it was powerful hitting and strong defense that pushed them to the win.

Against the 16U team strong hitting kept them in the game. Dani Reed almost hit for the cycle as she had a single, two triples and a home run. Brittney Karst also had power at the plate with two doubles.

Kristina Elliott pitched her first game, allowing six runs in four innings pitched.
