Mountain Man Club competes

This week the Mountain Man Wrestling Club traveled to Boise High School for the Arrowrock Wrestling Tournament.

Three competitors finished in the top three of their divisions in both Greco-Roman and Freestyle events.

Cadet Ryan Goldsby captured a silver medal in both styles.

Charlie Shoemaker finished with a gold medal in Greco and a third-place finish in Freestyle.

His brother, Nicholas Shoemaker, finished with a gold medal in Greco and silver in Freestyle.

Midget Kanoa Doronio brought home a silver medal this week in freestyle, and Jon Ryan finished in fifth place in the Cadet division.

Next week the club travels to Capital High School for the Cadet and Junior State Championships. Capital Wrestling Club also will be hosting a tournament for the pre-bantam, bantam, midget, novice, and schoolboy/schoolgirl divisions.

Mountain Man Wrestling will be hosting the Mountain Man Challenge April 18-19. Anyone wishing to donate their time to help out the club should contact Kevin Staebler at 590-2765.
