Schools canceled Friday due to storm

The heavy snowfall that blanketed Elmore County Thursday evening caused the Mountain Home School District to cancel Friday classes.

Heavy fog and icy, snow-covered roads made driving treacherous after more than 3 inches of snow (in the valley) fell on the area. Scores of slide-offs and accidents were reported on area roads, keepling law enforcement officials and tow truck operators busy.
