Baseball sign-ups underway

The 2008 Mountain Home Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken Baseball League is starting soon.

Sign ups will be held at Moxie Java from 6-8 p.m. on Jan. 16, 18, 21, 23, 25, 29 and 31.

Those interested may also sign up Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Farmers Insurance.

No applications will be accepted after Jan. 31. Anyone interested in coaching or being an assistant coach should contact Heidi Rodriguez at 587-9096 or 599-3665. Coaches are needed in all age divisions (7- to 15-year olds).

The league also is looking for volunteers to help with the 2008 season.
