Lady Tiger JV falls 46-20 to Huskies
The Mountain Home JV Lady Tigers had a difficult time getting the ball through the hoop last Tuesday night, and the result was a 46-20 loss to Emmett in Lloyd Schiller Gymnasium in Mountain Home.
Mountain Home shot just 15 percent (7/46) from the field for the game, and trailed the whole game. Emmett led, 9-4, after a quarter, stretched it to 25-8 at the half. It was 30-12, Emmett, after three.
"We weren't in it at all," said Lady Tiger JV basketball coach Jeremy Sayer. "We scored just four points in each of the first three quarters. Offensively, it just wasn't our night, and we just didn't seem to be focused mentally on the game, and we were kind of slow on defense, and didn't take care of the ball offensively."
Blas Lord led the Lady Tigers with six points, Breann Christiansen added five, Brenda Hawkins, four, Sarah Cantrell, three, and Jessi Cameron had two points.
The loss dropped the Lady Tigers to 6-5 overall, and 3-3 in league play. They return to action on Jan. 3 at Middleton, and play at home on Jan. 5 against Nampa.
