Icy roads trigger numerous accidents.

Icy and slippery roads throughout Elmore County caused a number of accidents Monday.
More than two dozen accidents, some involving injuries, were reported Monday morning. But late Monday afternoon, as some drivers mistakenly believed the roads had cleared, a second rash of accidents began occuring, especially between Mountain Home and Simco Road on I-84, which was described as "extremely icy."
Deputies were working to slow traffic and requested that the Idaho Department of Transportation put up signs urging drivers to slow down. Some of the slide-offs temporarily closed lanes of the interstate, for either ambulances or for busy tow truck companies removing the vehicles.
