Elks to host Oktoberfest fundraiser for rebuilding lodge

Next week, the Mountain Home Elks Lodge members will be hosting Oktoberfest, a public event where proceeds from sales will go toward rebuilding the Lodge, a community landmark that was destroyed in a recent fire.

The outdoor gathering will be held on Saturday, October 13, starting at 3 p.m. on the grounds of the Elk's Lodge located at 325 South 3rd W. Street in Mountain Home.

The event will feature live entertainment and a beer tent with food and drinks served by Elk's members throughout the afternoon and evening, weather permitting.

Elk's Exalted Ruler Lynn Fincher said, "The officers and I would like to invite the public to stop by and visit and know that we (the Elks) are still here."

The general public is invited to attend and are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs for seating.
