Speedway gets green light

Wednesday, August 29, 2007

The state of Idaho will now have its long awaited racetrack. Tuesday night's meeting of the Elmore County Planning and Zoning Commission settled the final questions about the conditional use permit for Northwest Motorsports to build a motor vehicle racetrack complex and exposition center, and was approved unanimously by the panel.

The final documents approving the proposal of the huge motorsport racing complex in western Elmore County are not expected to be signed until Sept. 15, and citizens have 15 days to appeal the decision to the county commissioners.

For more details see the Sept. 5 issue of the Mountain Home News.

  • Here's hoping Ms. Dugger can keep track of the funds this time. :-)
