Boys golf team finishes fifth
The Mountain Home Tiger boys golf team came in fifth in an SIC 4A conference golf match at Desert Canyon Municipal Golf Course in Mountain Home Thursday.
The team scores were close, as the Tigers' score of 162 was fifth, but just six shots back of Bishop Kelly and Caldwell, who tied for first with a 156 total.
Vallivue came in third with a 160, Emmett was a shot ahead of the Tigers at 161, and Kuna was last with a 169.
Caldwell's Kyle Osgood was medalist with a 37.
Joe Rebon led the Tigers, tying for second with a 38, and Shawn Griffin tied for sixth with a 39. Jeff Hawley shot a 41, Ryan Barrett carded a 44, and Lane Short came in with a 48.
In the girls competition, Kuna took first with a 178 total, nine shots better than Bishop Kelly. Vallivue was third, a shot back of B.K. with a 188, and Caldwell came in at 202.
Mountain Home did not have enough golfers to field a girls team for the event, but Mallory Rhead led Mountain Home with a 42, good for fourth overall.
Kylie Lippert and Carlotta Vaughn both came in at 63.
