Shirley Cavanagh, 58

Shirley Ann Cavanagh, 58, of Star, a former area resident, died Wednesday, June 18, 2003, at her residence. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 27, at Summers Funeral Homes, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.

Shirley was born July 7, 1944, in Great Falls, Mont., the daughter of David Hunt and Charlotte Mataya. She attended schools in Idaho Falls, Filer and Twin Falls. Shirley was married to Richard Cavanagh on Jan. 13, 1967. In her later years she attend the Boise State Collage.

Shirley enjoyed writing, taking psychology courses, and karaoke. She was member of the Postmaster Club in Mountain Home and a member of the Writer's Club in Boise.

Shirley is survived by: her daughters, Cheryl Cavanagh and her fiance, Jerry Green, both of Mountain Home, Jeanne Boggs and her husband, John, of Ramstein, Germany, son Robert Cavanagh and his wife, Brenda, of Mountain Home; her mother Charlotte, of Alaska; sisters Joyce Brown of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Sharon Edmond of Arizona; brothers David and Dewey Hunt, both of Idaho Falls, and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, one brother, and Richard Cavanagh.
