Following the disastrous train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio that led to the release of hazardous waste resulting in the contamination of the area and causing residents of the city to report a slew of various negative health symptoms, many residents of Mountain Home and surrounding Elmore County area have begun to ask what safe-holds are in place to prevent a similar emergency from occurring here, and what a response to such an incident would look like...

On Tuesday, November 28th, members of the Mountain Home Community Development team hosted a master transportation plan open house to provide members of the public to provide input on the city’s future transportation development plans.
