On July 30, a motion for dismissal was held in regards to the murder charge against Scott Riggs. The defendants council asked the case be dismissed on grounds that the magistrate abused it's discretion in finding probable cause in the matter. Riggs and his council presented that although he had purchased two knives in months prior to the alleged murder, it was a stretch to say this proved premeditation. ...

Since the City of Mountain Home unveiled it’s Downtown Master Plan there has been concern amongst members of the community. These concerns include the removal of parking, taking Main Street and Second Street down to two lanes and the effect the construction will have on existing businesses.
