Air Force Open House

On July 12 officials from Mountain Home Air Force Base held an open house at the Mountain Home Public Library to meet with the public to address concerns of aircraft noise and discuss what they are doing to minimize safety concerns. The Annual Summer Concert Series, hosted by the Mountain Home Arts Council and Parks & Rec, will continue on Friday, July 20, at Carl Miller Park with Idaho’s old-time honky-grass Fall Creek String Band. The community sends the 12u All Stars baseball team off in style.

After a ride on a fire engine with lights and sirens blaring the members of the 12U All Stars were driven down third street which was lined with law enforcement vehicles and a crowd of supporters. After a check for $500 was presented to the team by the Mountain Home Fire Department two other fire engines turned on their hoses while the boys truck slowly drove them through the water, thoroughly cooling them off before their last practice in town before heading to Moscow...
