Eastern Owyhee County Library receives boost from multiple grants

The Eastern Owyhee County Library in Grand View has been very busy over the winter after receiving multiple grants. In August 2017 the library received a grant from the Laura Moore Cunningham Foundation for $6,000. The grant was for two projects: to replace the meeting room door with an automatic handicapped-accessible one and to create a handicapped parking area. 2018 Hoop Shoot comes to a close at the state level

This past weekend, Nakiyia Percell from North Elementary took second place in the State Elks Hoop Shoot Contest on Feb. 3 in Blackfoot. After a relatively underwhelming performance at the Sochi Winter Olympics (by US standards, second in overall medals is a fairly poor showing), Team USA will head to PyeongChang, South Korea, this week to participate in the 2018 Winter Olympics.
