The Mountain Home Talkin’ Tigers won four of the 20 events held at the Rocky Mountain Speech and Debate Tournament held in Meridian on November 2-3. A total of 18 high schools attended the two day tournament and the Talkin’ Tigers boasted four event winners headed by overall team captain Lexi Ogaard’s victory in Dramatic Interpretation. Elizabeth "Liz" Griffeath and Peter Chetney, both from Coos Bay, OR, were united in marriage on Sept. 2, 2017 at 6 p.m. The wedding featured colors of navy blue and burgundy in a wooded setting just outside of Coquille, OR.
