The Mountain Home Senior Center hosts an ice cream social from 2 to 4 p.m. on Aug. 27 as part of its "Save the Kitchen" campaign. Richard Fielding Checketts, 78, died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2016, peacefully in his sleep at home. Richard was preceded by his parents, sister, brother-in-law, son, and infant daughter.
