Fire contained near Tipanuk

Crews from the Bureau of Land Management and Oasis rural fire protection agency responded to a fire near Tipanuk eight miles west of Mountain Home on Tuesday evening. Fire fighters acted quickly, keeping the fire limited to an estimated 40 acres. Resources on scene include five engines, one dozer and one water tender along with two water tenders from the Orchard Training Range. The fire was contained at noon Wednesday and was expected to be controlled at 8 p.m. that evening...

Cheryl Fay Stevens, age 65 of Mountain Home, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2016, at St. Luke's Hospital in Boise. She was surrounded by friends and family at the time of her passing.
