A Gulf War Veteran, retired Master Sergeant Jeffery Robert Snell was born July 25, 1970, in Seattle, Wash., and after struggling with pancreatic cancer, he was called home to be with the Lord on Sept. 4, 2015. Jon Mellen, age 78 of Boise, passed away on Friday, Sept. 4, 2015, at a Boise hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. Burial with military honors will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain Home.
