The new school year will begin this August with a change in leadership at three schools in the Mountain Home area. Jeff Johnson, who finished his ninth year as principal at the high school, will become the director of instruction for the local school district...

Surrounded by their coaches and college representatives, Mountain Home High School athletes Jarek Schetzle, CJ Bish and David Arcinieaga sign their letters of intent to play sports with the at Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario, Ore. During a meeting at the high school May 19, Schetzle signed to play men's basketball for the Chukars. Bish will play on the women's soccer team while Arciniaga will play for the men's soccer squad...

Robert Paul Johnson III, born Aug. 19, 1968, unexpectedly left this life on May 25, 2015. Robert was known to many as B.J. as he grew up and attended school in Boise. After marrying the love of his life, Robert moved to Hammett to live in the country and to be close to his parents. He was an amazing husband, father, son, brother and uncle. Robert was a generous man and would do anything for anyone...

Orion R. Henry, age 65 of Glenns Ferry, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at a Glenns Ferry care center. Per his request, no services will be held. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.

Cheryl A. Eagley, age 60, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2015, at a Boise hospital and her husband Richard A. "Dick" Eagley Jr., age 74, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at a Mountain Home care center. Both Cheryl and Richard are from Mountain Home. A memorial service for Cheryl and Richard will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2015, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 1150 North 8th East St. in Mountain Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.
