Dear editor, Last week, my family had the misfortune of planning and attending a funeral for my beloved grandfather, Alvin Andrews. For me, his was the first funeral with full military honors I had ever experienced. I had never given much thought to the participation of the Air Force Honor Guard and American Legion. I think we can all appreciate the fact that each of these volunteers gave up their Saturday. But what was truly moving was the respect and reverence each of them displayed...
