Tennis team gains early wins but still struggles at district

Mountain Home Tiger tennis enjoyed success early in the District III 4A Tennis Tournament last week. But as the tournament progressed, the wins became fewer. In boys singles, all three Mountain Home players won their first-round matches. Tim Austin won his first match 6-2, 6-0. He won his second match in three sets to advance to the quarter-finals. He then lost, but faced teammate Austin Griswold and beat him to stay alive in the district tournament...

Tigers send one to state golf event

Mountain Home Tiger Jake Egusquiza qualified for the State 4A Golf Tournament. The Tiger junior did so with his third place finish at the District III 4A Golf Tournament at Desert Canyon Golf Course in Mountain Home on May 5. Mountain Home finished fourth as a team at district, shooting a 349. Bishop Kelly won the district title, shooting a 318, two shots better than Skyview and five ahead of Middleton.
