Area air quality monitoring available

An emergency air quality monitor has been set up in Mountain Home to measure fine particulate matter (smoke) from wildfires, reports the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ). DEQ will use the monitoring data to develop and post daily air quality forecasts and health advisories for the Mountain Home area on its website at www.deq.idaho.gov/daily-air-quality-repo.... The Elmore County Pest Abatement District has received two positive tests for West Nile Virus from mosquitoes trapped near Hammett over the past week.
