Even as a child, Julee Bunderson knew that she wanted to be a police officer. Growing up at her parent's home in Ely, Nev., she would often pretend that she was a sheriff, wearing a cowboy hat and a badge as she brought bad guys to justice. At the time, it never dawned on her that she would spend much of her life wearing the badge of a police officer while at the same time serving as a role model for other women...

Scouts from local Troop 175 led a team of more than 30 volunteers to repaint approximately 80 hydrants on the city's north side during the day...

Jason Robert Barney, 26, of Mountain Home, Idaho, passed away on June 23, 2013. Services will be held at Legacy Park on July 1 at 11 a.m. There will be a celebration of his life directly afterward. Jason is survived by: his wife, Victoria Barney; his parents, LeiLani and Dennis Young and Mark and Tammy Barney; his siblings, Melanie and Sonny Barney and Regina Young; his grandparents, Gus and Rial Pahl, Pat and Jerrie McVey, Delbert and Lois Wood, Alice and John Dew, and Sam Baxter; his loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many dear friends whom he considered family.. ...

Thomas Llyn Burnside passed from this life, June 14, 2013. He attended schools in Idaho and Wyoming. Tom served in Desert Storm. He also was supervisor of the public defender's office in Rock Springs, Wyo. Tom is survived by his immediate family, several close loved ones, including his children, and many friends...
