Unattended cooking was linked to a fire that caused significant damage to a home on the city's west side Jan. 9. The fire started around 9:15 p.m. as the family was cooking dinner at their home on Perigrine Drive. Tom Reese, 85, of Mountain Home, passed away on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at a Mountain Home care center. Per Tom's request, no services will be held. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Patricia Ann Embrey, 66, of Mountain Home, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at a Boise hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, Jan. 19, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Charles E. Roll, a caring, loving and special father, grandfather, brother and friend, left us on Jan. 13, 2013. Charles loved his family more than the very own breaths he took. He will be missed dearly. Charles was born on March 15, 1949, in Hawthorne, Nev., the son of Paul and Lorraine Roll...
