Sheriff asks for help in wire theft

The Elmore County Sheriff's Office is investigating the theft of industrial cable valued at over $25,000 from a construction site near King Hill. Elmore County Deputies were dispatched to a Western Construction job site near Exit 129 on I-84 early Monday, where workers discovered the theft of wire. Western Construction is offering a $5,000 dollar reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the persons responsible...

She states Commissioner Hofer is not, was not, and never has been a developer. A plat map recorded 17 Dec. 17, 2003, for the Gunfighter Subdivision shows Al Hofer, 51 S.W. Sunrise Dr., Mountain Home, ID 83647, as developer, which incidentally is the same address as Mrs. J. Hofer...

New closures take effect in Mountain Home Ranger District area

As of last Friday, Nov. 9, a new closure area is in effect for the Mountain Home Ranger District that only includes Big Roaring Campground, Little Roaring Campground and Wagontown Loop Road (Forest Service Road #183 and its sub roads). All other areas previously closed by the Trinity Ridge Fire on the Mountain Home Ranger District by the are now open...
