The Mountain Home boys excelled while the Lady Tigers stumbled as this year's soccer seasons continued last week. The Mountain Home Tigers downed the Kuna Kavemen, 3-1, Thursday in SIC 4A boys soccer at Eastside Park in Mountain Home. Juan Sanchez, Brandon Zacharias and Abraham Salinas each scored goals. Fernando Martinez had an assist. Meanwhile, Jack Richelieu had 11 saves on goal...

The Mountain Home Tiger cross country team made the long trek to Soda Springs Saturday for the Cardinal Classic battling thunderstorms and tornado warnings along the way. Once there, the Mountain Home girls came in 14th and the boys 16th in their respective races...

After a one-year hiatus, the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce will resume a local tradition as it hosts its 16th Annual Fall Harvest Festival Oct. 6. Hosted by the chamber's community activities committee, the event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. that day in the city's downtown area...

Burn bans have been lifted in the cities of Mountain Home and Glenns Ferry, the Mountain Home Rural Fire District and the King Hill Rural Fire District. Although the bans have been lifted, burn permits are still required for all controlled burns. The permits are free but help prevent fire crews from being dispatched unnecessarily to reports of smoke. In the Mountain Home area they are available on the city website or by contacting the fire department...

I lived in mountain home for 3 years. I left 2 years ago, but visted this summer. I already miss it!!
