A Caldwell teenager was killed in a three-vehicle accident Saturday evening on I-84 east of Mountain Home. According to Idaho State Police, Taylor Sauer, 18, driving a 2004 Saturn Vue, was westbound on Interstate 84 near milepost 108 at about 9 p.m., when she struck the rear of a 2011 International semi pulling a tanker trailer that was driven by David Seefried, 49, of Heyburn. Seefried was in the right lane of travel and going up the long grade at that point at approximately 15 miles per hour...

Edward Pershing Vance, 93, passed away Jan. 10, 2012, in Bozeman, Mont. He was born July 6, 1918, in Mountain Home, Idaho, to Ernest and Laura (Beer) Vance, and grew up there on a farm. After graduating from Mountain Home High School, Persh enrolled in the University of Idaho at Moscow, where he was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity, and where he received a bachelor's degree in range management in 1941...

Carol Ann (Teff) Green was born Feb. 9, 1934, in La Cross, Wisc., and passed away of natural causes Dec. 22, 2011, in Mountain Home, Idaho. A graveside service was held Dec. 27th at Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain Home. She married Cedric Curtis Green Aug. 10, 1959, in Lansing, Iowa, and they celebrated 52 years of marriage on Aug. 10, 2011. Carol was a homemaker who enjoyed the genealogy of her family, stamp collecting, quilt making and she loved birds and squirrels...

Rulon Richard Young Jr., born Aug. 12, 1957, passed away at home on Jan. 13, 2012, surrounded by his family, after a long battle with cancer. Junior was the first-born child to Rulon R. "Dick" and Delila L. Malcolm Young. He grew up in Salmon, spending much of his time in the outdoors hunting and fishing. In 1975 he graduated from Salmon High School, intent on going to Idaho State University to study pharmacy...
