Vehicle debris suspected in range fire (Local News ~ 09/07/11)
A wheel bearing thrown from a passing car was the likely cause of a range fire that burned nearly 1,200 acres of land along Highway 51 last week. The fire started east of the intersection of Bypass and Airbase roads west of town with dry vegetation and 20 mile per hour wind gusts fueling the blaze, said Mallory Eils, a spokesperson with the Bureau of Land Management. -

A Boise man that went missing during a kayaking trip on the Boise River was rescued Friday. Herbert Gunderson, 61, was declared missing after he went on a trip down the North Fork of the Boise River last Tuesday. Texas driver injured in interstate crash (Local News ~ 09/07/11)
A 25-year-old Texas man was injured when he rear-ended a semi on the Hammett hill on I-84 Saturday. According to Idaho State Police, Ernesto Madrigal, 49 of Paul, was traveling westbound in a 2007 Mack semi and was traveling uphill at a slow speed with his emergency lights on, when for unknown reasons, Quentin Schmieding, of Denton, Texas, driving a 2007 Volkswagon Jetta and who also was traveling westbound, struck Madrigal's vehicle in the rear... -

Many people, especially the younger, lack the skills or resources to acquire an education required for the more advanced technical jobs. Large multinational corps should not receive any incentives for creating jobs overseas...
