The Elmore County rodeo queen and royalty contest will be held Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. at the LDS church at E. 12th North and N. 8th East streets in Mountain Home. The horsemanship competition will follow at the Optimist Rodeo Arena. The rodeo royalty will represent Elmore County at the Daniel Dopps Memorial Rodeo and the Elmore County Fair rodeos, as well as appearing in both local and regional community events....

Mountain Home Lady Tiger basketball coach Brent Keener has announced the date for the youth basketball camp. The camp will run May 31 through June 2 at Mountain Home High School and be led by Coach Keener, his assistants and members of the Lady Tiger high school teams...

The Mountain Home Tigers golf team finished in a tie for fourth with Skyview at the Mountain Home Invitational Golf Tournament at Desert Canyon Golf Course. Middleton won the tourney, shooting a 319 team score. Bishop Kelly was second, 10 shots back at 329. Columbia was in third, 15 shots back at 344. Mountain Home finished second behind Eagle in both the girls' and boys' competition at last Wednesday's Timberline track meet. Eagle won the girls' competition with 97 points, five better than Mountain Home. Emmett was third with 37 points and Timberline had 28...

Five students from Hacker Middle School tested their ability to build and drive a made-from-scratch robot during a Mars Rover competition Friday. Held at the University of Idaho's campus in Moscow, Lexi Ogaard, Dominick Finley, Daisy Malan, David Clark and Kate Connolly earned the right to compete at the state event after they qualified during regional finals April 16...

Franklin "Frank" Delano Heatley, 77 of Mountain Home, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at a Boise hospital.
