Statistics show drop in crime in Elmore County

An advanced copy of the 2010 crime statistics from the Elmore County Sheriff's Office shows that crime in the department's area of operations declined by 21.7 percent in 2010 -- an improvement over 2009 when crime increased by 6.4 percent. The 2010 annual report, scheduled for release in its entirety this July, is published by the Idaho State Police and includes crime statistics for all municipalities and counties within the State of Idaho.
