The 11th Annual Women's History Banquet will be hosted by the Mountain Home Historical Society on Saturday, March 5, at the Elks Lodge in Mountain Home. The evening social starts at 6 p.m. with dinner served at 7 p.m. It is a full dinner banquet with a no-host bar and a fundraiser for the museum. Tickets are on sale at the museum for $25 each...

Elmore County authorities are responding to a number of slide-offs and rollovers due to the icy road conditions on I-84 and other roads in the county. Drivers are being urged to slow down and drive with caution. None of the accidents so far are believed to have resulted in any serious injuries, but some lesser injuries have been reported...

Marjorie Louise (Fenstermaker) Grubb, 87, of Mountain Home, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, at a local care facility. William "Bill" Howard Walker, 89, of Glenns Ferry, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, at a local hospital.
