Tim Corder will not be attending the state Republican Party convention in Idaho Falls June 25-26, but the woman he beat in the primary election will go as a delegate representing this area from legislative District 22. During a joint meeting of the Elmore and Boise County Republican Central Committees, held last Thursday in Mountain Home, precinct committeemen voted to send Marla Lawson of Boise County, whom Corder beat by a 53-47 percent margin in the primary election, to the state convention, but they rejected the nomination of Corder as a delegate.. ...

UPDATE - Fire destroys home in Glenns Ferry.

A mobile home at 325 South Oneida Street was completely destroyed by fire Wednesday afternoon. Glenns Ferry Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a house fire at approximately 2:10 p.m. Fire Chief Bob Janousek said the structure was completely engulfed when crews arrived on scene. No one was home at the time and a dog inside the home escaped without injury.
