Crazee Daze canceled but carnival remains
(Local News ~ 05/13/10)
There will be no Crazee Daze this year. Instead, the Chamber of Commerce will simply sponsor a carnival in Railroad Park May 20-23. After being an institution in the community for decades, Crazee Daze fell victim to a lack of Chamber volunteers to run the project, which historically had involved sidewalk sales and vendor booths set up in the downtown core area, as well as entertainment and games...

Hope brightens that 2 doctors may stay here
(Local News ~ 05/13/10)
For those fighting to keep doctors Scott Baldridge and Allan Jeffrey in the community, there was a glimpse of a ray of hope described at last week's regular hospital board meeting. Was it Ms. Best's intention to attack Ms. Plummer's character, integrity and job performance without evidence?...

Corder is a RINO who should be replaced
(Letter to the Editor ~ 05/13/10)
Dear editor: I am no longer a young person so I feel I have some experience in knowing what is right and what is wrong. Our current senator of District 22, Mr. Corder, seems to be lacking in that department. He was elected as a Republican but rarely votes with the Republicans in the Senate. ...

(Letter to the Editor ~ 05/13/10)
Dear editor: In the many years that we have lived in Mountain Home and been affiliated with the Mountain Home School District, we have seen many ups and downs. However, none of them would have had such a long-term consequence as what we are being faced with today...
