Lila (Galgerud) Turner, 76, of Mountain Home, went peacefully to join the husband and the love of her life, Keith Milo Turner, on June 30, 2009, while at a Boise hospital. A viewing was held on Sunday, July 5, 2009, from at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. A Magna, Utah, woman suffered a broken leg when she was hit by a car while walking on the Interstate at milepost 99 Saturday night. Idaho State Police said Victoria Beitz, 30, was hit by the mirror of an eastbound 2005 Pontiac driven by Thad Hollist, 28, of Rexburg, at about 10:20 p.m. She was taken by air ambulance from the scene...

A Glenns Ferry woman is in a Boise hospital recovering from a rattlesnake bite. On Friday, June 27, Sheila Kramer was weed whacking along a fence line between two East Cleveland homes when she felt a sharp pain in her leg. "You know what it's like to get stung by a wasp? A 41-year-old NCO from Mountain Home AFB, Richard Caron, died when he apparently drowned in a private swimming pool in Mountain Home Saturday evening. Caron had been one of several people who had gathered at a home located at 695 E. 13th North St. to celebrate the Fourth of July. "People were going in an out all the time, but it wasn't really a big party," said Sgt. Rick Viola of the Mountain Home Police Department. "A lot of them were Air Force folks."...

Richard J. Caron, 41, of Mountain Home, died on Saturday, July 4, 2009. A memorial service will be held at Hanger 1331 at Mountain Home Air Force Base, on Thursday, July 9, 2009, at 9 a.m. Inurnment will be held in Brooksville, Fla., at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Elmer Charles Mouser, 76 of Mountain Home, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2009 at a Boise hospital. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel with a viewing starting at 9:00am until the service at 11:00am and burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery with military honors by Idaho Army National Guard, Honor Guard.
