Motorists who have traveled through traffic barriers and road construction at the intersection of Airbase Road and Idaho 51 since March will soon see an end to the project. For three weeks, from March 2-20, students at Mountain Home Junior High collected $1,500 in change for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Pennies for Patients Program. The program is one of the society's national school and youth programs that raises funds to find cures for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, myeloma research and patient services.
