A number of Elmore County citizens voiced their concerns about a water right transfer proposed by the city of Mountain Home, during a pre-conference hearing at city hall last Wednesday. Tim and Naomi Pratt of Mountain Home have announced the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Kendra Lyn, to JD Diaz, son of Ismael and Lety Diaz of Mountain Home and Dolores Valdez of Wendell. Freddie "Fred" D. Thacker, 77, of Hammett, died Monday, April 24, 2006. At his request, there will be no services. Fred was born July 27, 1928, in Kimberly, Idaho, the son of Marion and Mary Thacker. He married Gertrud Marie Gentie in Heilbron, Germany, on Nov. 5, 1955. He later retired from the Army after 20 years of service and after serving in both Korea and Vietnam...

JoAnn Daniels, 56, of Moscow, formerly of Mountain Home, died at her home April 21, 2006. No funeral arrangements were announced. JoAnn was born Jan. 16, 1950 to Karl and Helen Weathers. She married Dean Daniels Aug. 23, 1968 in Mountain Home. They have lived in Moscow since 1983...
