Larry Severson was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his wife nearly three years earlier. Don and Carol Jensen of Mountain Home have announced the engagement of their daughter, Heidi Nicole, to William Scott Sharp, son of Kevin and Debra Sharp of Preston, Idaho. Heidi is a 1998 graduate of Mountain Home High School and a graduate of Ricks College...

Ronald Gene Brown, 71, died Dec. 19, 2005, surrounded by his wife of 52 years and his children. A memorial service celebrating Ron's life will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28, at Cole Community Church. A private family burial will take place at Morris Hill cemetery...

Allie "Al" Mack Pennington, 82, of Grand View, died at his home on Monday, Dec. 26, 2005. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Brian David Truskowski, 46, of Mountain Home, died Friday, Dec. 23, 2005, due to an automobile accident. A viewing will be held today, Wednesday, Dec. 28, from 4-6 p.m. with funeral services to be held on Thursday, Dec. 29, at 10 a.m. at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home...

Howard William "Bill" Howard, 46, died Dec. 17, 2005. A memorial service will be held at Rost Funeral Home in Mountain Home on Thursday, Dec. 29, at 4 p.m. A celebration of his life will be held at Cal's in Mountain Home following the memorial. "H" as he was know to his friends, was born at March Air Force Base in Riverside, Calif., on Oct. 23, 1959...

The Mountain Home Tiger wrestling team shot out to an early 17-3 lead over the Eagles at Capital last Wednesday night, but lost eight of the last 10 matches, six by pin. Chris Knudson, Charles Davidson and Calvin Vivier picked up the Tigers' only pins, Knudson at 171 pounds, Davidson at 215, and Vivier at 135. Tyson Sessions won by technical fall (22-6), and Nico Pinque had Mountain Home's other win, an 8-7 decision...

The Christmas holiday break began Dec. 20 at 1:30 p.m., and it appeared the Mountain Home Tigers were definitely on break when they showed up at Kuna later that night. The Tigers fell behind 17-5 after a quarter, but battled back in the second period to cut the deficit to five, 29-24, at halftime...

The Mountain Home Lady Tigers continue to be the surprise of the SIC 4A, muzzling the Lady Huskies from Emmett last Tuesday, 53-38 in Lloyd Schiller Gymnasium in Mountain Home. Just three nights removed from their stunning upset win over Bishop Kelly, the Lady Tigers were out to show the world -- and specifically Emmett -- that Saturday night's win was no fluke...
